Why does everyone hate Adam Lambert so much?

The people that are hating on him are the ones who are terrified that he'll win, because they know he has a BIG chance at doing so. Idol has never had a contestant who is so different and has inspired so much creativity and individualism to the general public, and with such an astonishing voice. Middle America is just terrified of it(not all of them.).
