How does evaporation and condensation work in distilling tap water?

Basically you have a solution of 2 liquids each with a different boiling point. When the solution starts to boil the liquid with the lowest boiling temp will boil first and evaporate first, it then enters coiled tubing that is usually cooled by water. As the evaporated liquid starts to cool it will condense, reform as a liquid, and come out into a beaker.
