Why is Christianity used so much in Green Day songs? Is Green Day anti-Christian?

I don't like Green Day, but what they tried to do with the whole Jesus of Suburbia thing was pretty cool. The rest I can't speak for, but Jesus of Suburbia didn't seem particularly anti-Christian to me. More metaphorical than literal.
