Does the patriotism of the American people affect how well soldiers are fighting in combat?
I have noticed that in a war when the U.S people are patriotic the war is more successfull but if the people are not supporting the war or are angry about it the war is not very successfull. For example in WW2 when the U.S and Japan faced of the U.S was actually weaker in the beginning and then they eventually gained the upper hand because of the patriotism of the people. But the Japanese people were dissapointed of the war and did not support their goverment. In the Vietnam war the U.S was not ver patriotic as people and the war was somewhat of a failure. The Gulf War was not that controversial because people wanted to protect Kuwait and it was a success. And do not get me started on the Iraq War.In the beginning people supported it and the U.S crushed Saddam's forces. Now is some sort of mess where people run around throwing bombs.Does the patriotism of the people effect the outcome of a battle that much?
