How can a college student with part-time job get Auto Loan?

I am in desperate need of a used car. I realize having a co-signer makes getting a loan a lot easier but neither of my parents are willing to help me. I have a part time job. I have no monthly bills so I can easily make monthly payments on a car. Where is the best place to get a loan. I would try the credit union but the closest one is over an hour away...
